Biography
Amparo is the Curator of The Klesch Collection, where she oversees the strategic management and development of a major private collection of 16th and 17th century paintings, including acquisitions, research, museum partnerships, academic publishing, and international loans, bringing together scholarly excellence with the practical demands of building and managing a significant private collection. Prior to joining The Klesch Collection in 2018, Amparo spent several years in the commercial art world, developing expertise in the art market that continues to inform her curatorial approach. She works closely with museums, scholars, collectors, and cultural institutions worldwide, while also overseeing initiatives that support emerging art historians through grants and scholarships. She holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and an MA from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, specializing in Renaissance and Baroque art. Fluent in four languages, she brings an international perspective to the intersection of collecting, scholarship, and the art market.
