Biography
Charlotte Appleyard is Director of Development at The British Museum. Before that she served as a Director at the Royal Academy of Arts, Outset Contemporary Art Fund, and in the curatorial departments at The National Gallery in London and the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York. In 2012 she published "Corporate Art Collections: A Handbook history and survey of corporate collections”. She has served on the boards of Turner Contemporary, The Ministry of Stories, The Institute of Contemporary Arts and the Evening Standard London Recovery Board. She currently serves on the advisory board for the 10,000k Intern Foundation and is a trustee of the Marylebone Cricket Club and Figurative, the Palace for Life Foundation. She is a graduate of Oxford University, the Courtauld Institute and Harvard Business School.
